Meet the Team
Josh Cable
President
Josh is a zealous commercialization expert who lives to bring new innovations to market! For over ten years, he has advised or mentored countless early-stage teams and has been involved in a number of deeptech industry initiatives.
From 2018 to 2024, Josh served as the CEO of InventWood, a growth company commercializing a portfolio of advanced wood materials. Since emerging from a lab at the University of Maryland, InventWood has raised over $60 M in investor and non-dilutive capital and was recently named as one of Time Magazine’s top Cleantech companies of 2025.
In the first part of his career, Josh served in several business strategy, product management, marketing, and analytics roles for Capital Group, one of the world’s largest asset managers.
Josh graduated with a BA from Harvard University and holds the CFA designation.
Gregg Cremer
Partner
Gregg is a highly knowledgeable and experienced professional with a track record of success. With an unparalleled level of insight, thoughtfulness, and rigor, he has become a go-to resource for many facing commercialization challenges.
Most recently, Gregg served as Technology-to-Market Advisor and SCALEUP Program Director at ARPA-E (part of the US Department of Energy). Gregg provided project management and budget (>$150M) oversight, as well as commercial guidance to multiple teams, chaired the Merit Review Board, and led the design of SCALEUP Ready.
Prior to joining ARPA-E, Gregg held a variety of technical and commercial leadership positions in the international energy industry, primarily focused on creating and delivering value from technical innovation.
Gregg holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Rice University.
Liza Pikus
Partner
Liza is a problem-solver at heart, blending deep analytical expertise with strategic planning, operational excellence, and a knack for building high-performing teams.
Liza thrives on tackling complex challenges – whether it’s making sense of messy data, optimizing business processes, or charting the best path forward for a growing company.
Her career spans multiple industries, where she has held leadership roles at FedEx, Wayfair, Capital Group, and Cole Capital. Most recently, she served as EVP at InventWood, where as employee #4, she spent 4.5 years leading strategic initiatives, analytical workstreams, and operational excellence – playing a key role in securing and managing multiple grants and awards, including the prestigious $20 million SCALEUP award from DOE ARPA-E.
Liza holds a BA in Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
